Cookie Vault is a browser extension that lets you view, edit, add, delete, export, and import browser cookies for the websites you visit. It is a developer and power-user tool that operates entirely within your browser.

Data Collection

Cookie Vault does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data.

• No data is sent to any external server or third party.
• No analytics, telemetry, or tracking of any kind is used.
• No user accounts or registration are required.
• All operations happen locally inside your browser.

Permissions Used

• cookies — Required to read, create, modify, and delete cookies for the websites you choose to inspect.
• activeTab — Used to identify the website displayed in your current browser tab so the extension can show its cookies.
• tabs — Used to read the URL of the active tab for cookie lookup purposes.
• Host permissions (all URLs) — Needed so the extension can manage cookies for any website you visit. No background network requests are made.

Data Storage

Cookie Vault does not maintain its own data store. It reads and writes cookies through the browser’s built-in cookie API. Exported cookie files are saved to your local file system through the browser’s standard download mechanism.

Third Parties

Cookie Vault does not integrate with, send data to, or receive data from any third-party services.

Children’s Privacy

This extension is intended for developers and advanced users. It does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the revised version will be published alongside the extension update in the Chrome Web Store.
